Essential maintenance work on the London Trams network this weekend in Croydon town centre.
Work takes place on Sunday 7 June, between 00:45 and 06:00 on the tram line between West Croydon tram stop and the Station Road junction with Wellesley Road. Road and pavement access is not affected and will remain open at all times.
Noisy work
We need to carry out this work while trams are not running. This is why it must take place at night. We will be repairing parts of the road surface that are in poor condition and replacing a manhole. This will involve breaking concrete and resurfacing work. Due to the nature of this work, power tools will be used and some noise will be generated. To mitigate this we will keep disruption to a minimum by completing the work within a noise reducing tent.
A letter is being delivered to addresses near to the work site today to make them aware. A copy is attached for your reference.
