Update from the Met Police
It has been a rather busy two weeks since the last update.
We have been supporting the Response Teams in answering 999 calls
and facilitating peaceful protests on both Croydon and Bromley Borough.
We have also been coming into work in the very early hours
(between 0430 and 0530 hours) to tackle some very early morning crime.
Operation Basswood This is an ongoing operation investigating
the large number of catalytic converter thefts across Bromley, Croydon and Sutton.
The operation continues with proactive daily deployments.
Anyone with information relating to Catalytic Converter thefts
please call 101 or email the following OpBasswood@met.police.uk
This operation is heavily supported by Purley and Woodcote SNT
who have been undertaking a number of plain clothes
and intelligence led patrols across the Ward.
News From Your Teams:- Coulsdon Town
Colleagues from the Met Police Traffic Command
supported by Surrey Police undertook a late night ANPR operation
on the ward tackling transient crime and County Lines Drug Supply.
Multiple arrests were made for drug possession
and several vehicles were seized, making the operation a huge success.
There are more planned with our partners
that will be supported by your ward officers as spotters.
