Poppy appeal for British Legion

The following appeal is receiving support from across the borough and given the support shown by our residents for the WW1 commemoration events held in Coulsdon,  CWRA would welcome views on supporting this.

Hi,
I am the Community Fundraiser for South East London for The Royal British Legion and I wanted to get in touch with you to find out if you would be interested in getting on board with our Poppies on Lampposts project which we are hoping to launch across Croydon.
This year we are commemorating 100 years since the end of the First World War and we will be launching our Thank You Movement on the 8th August to see through 100 days until Armistice Day on Sunday 11th November. We are inviting members of the public to say Thank You to all those who served, sacrificed and changed our world.
We have already been approached by a number of Resident Associations in Croydon who have arranged for the Poppies on Lampposts to be displayed in their areas for the last 100 days. I am therefore enquiring to see if your Association would also be interested in taking part in the project. It would be great to see as many of Croydon’s streets as possible lined with our poppies as a way of commemorating this important time in history.
If you would like to take part in the project, please do let me know and I can give you more information. You can also find out more about our Thank You Movement by visiting our website  https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/remembrance/ww1-centenary/thank-you/
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
 Kind Regards,
 Jemma Cottam-Verbruggen
