Subject: Temporary changes to bus route 463 – Beddington Lane closure

Dear Stakeholder

As a result of work on the road network it is sometimes necessary to make changes to our services.

From Monday 8 January 2018 06:30 for approximately 1 week Woodmansterne Road will be closed between St. Andrews Road and Southwood Avenue Coulsdon due to Sewage Works.

As a result, bus route 463 will:
  • be diverted in both directions via Julien Road, Southwood Avenue and Bramley Avenue

Also from Monday 8 January 2018 06:30 until early April 2018 Beddington Lane will be closed while London Borough of Merton carries out footway works and carriageway widening.

As a result, bus route 463 will:
  • be diverted in both directions via Ampere Way, Purley Way and Mitcham Road
  • not serve Coomber Way, Beddington Lane or Beddington Lane Tram Stop
  • serve all bus stops on diversion

Customers in Coomber Way can use route 455 to connect with diverted route 463 buses in Ampere Way.

Customers in Beddington Lane or at Beddington Lane Tram Stop can use Tramlink to / from Therapia Lane Tram Stop to connect with diverted route 463 buses (bus stops in Ampere Way).

Customers can connect with Tramlink at Therapia Lane Tram Stop (bus stops in Ampere Way) instead of at Beddington Lane Tram Stop.

We are posting notices at the bus stops affected.

Yours faithfully

Stephen Hosking
Transport for London
